May Artist of the Month- Cassie Sano

May Artist of the Month is painter, potter, writer and illustrator, and teacher, Cassie Sano. Cassie is a contemporary realist painter living in Augusta, Maine. Since discovering the McLaughlin Garden while plein air painting here during our 2022 McLaughlin Art Fair, Cassie has become a generous supporter of the Garden, hosting a children’s program last summer, donating her time and talent to our online auction, and graciously sharing her art with our McLaughlin community. Cassie’s artwork reflects her love of New England charm as she attempts to capture scenes that reveal a lot about a location and what captured her heart in that moment. Cassie will exhibit her framed original paintings, illustrated children’s books, including her most recently released Baxter the Moose, greeting cards, and pottery.
