June Artist of the Month- Joyce Coyne

As a watercolor painter, Joyce Coyne’s art career has spanned more than 30 years. In that time, she has participated in solo exhibits as well as group shows, including most notably, the Juried Canadian Watercolorists acceptance into “Les Fleurs” held at Montreal’s Botanical Gardens. She has received numerous awards at sidewalk art shows throughout Maine and New Hampshire. She was also instrumental in promoting area artists in the community when she owned and operated Images of Art Gallery, and in establishing and coordinating Lewiston’s Downtown Artists Project. Her favorite subject is gardens in all their variety, and her paintings certainly reflect that.
