Picassiette Mosaic Workshop led by artist Sophia Maamouri

In this full day class, Sophia guides you in creating a mosaic using the Picassiette (broken dish) method. All materials will be provided including a base surface for your tile work, adhesive, and some broken ceramic and tile pieces. Participants should bring additional tiling pieces like favorite dishes, etc., to break (or that may already be broken) to incorporate into your completed piece. Yard sales and second hand shops are economical ways to find old tiles and dishes in an assortment of colors and patterns that you may like. A demonstration as well as written instructions will be given on how to grout the finished piece at home. The fee for this class is $95. Last day to register is May 27.
