Eco-Printing Workshop with Mary Delano

Record your visit to McLaughlin Garden by printing our plants on fabric! Learn the art of eco-printing with Maine fiber artist Mary DeLano. Eco-Printing is a fascinating process where plant materials are placed on specially treated fabric and then steamed to release the pigments in the plants, leaving realistic prints of the plants on the fabric. During this full day class, participants learn about which plants print reliably and will also have a chance to experiment with other plants. Students will take home one silk scarf and 1 ¾ yards of printed fabric, including silk, cotton and linen.

This class fills quickly and seating is limited to 10 participants. Preregistration for class is required and can be made by phone or email. Payment must be received within 7 business days of reserving your seat to hold your space. The workshop fee is $135 for non-members, and $125 for members. Registration closes on August 28th. No refunds will be offered after that time unless the class is cancelled.
