Discovery Concert- performed by Sebago-Long Lake Music Festival

The musicians of the Sebago-Long Lake Music Festival will once again bring their world-class artistry to the barn at McLaughlin Garden for an unforgettable concert experience. Cellist Eliot Bailen and flutist Susan Rotholz will fill the McLaughlin Barn with magical music as they perform the program shared below.
Please note that the garden and gift shop will remain open until 5:00pm today, so come early to explore all that we have to offer, both inside and out! The concert will begin at 5:00pm and the program will run for approximately 45 minutes. There will be time after the concert for a brief Q and A session with the performers.
While admission to this concert is free, there is a suggested donation of $15.

FESTIVAL ARTISTS
Eliot Bailen has an active career as artistic director, cellist, composer and teacher. Principal Cello of the New York Chamber Ensemble, New Jersey Festival Orchestra, Orchestra New England, New York Bach Artists, Teatro Grattacielo and the New Choral Society, he is also Founder and Artistic Director of the Sherman Chamber Ensemble and Chamber Music at Rodeph Sholom in New York. Recently appointed Artistic Director of the New York Chamber Ensemble, he also performs regularly with the Saratoga Chamber Players, and Cape May Music Festival. He has received national attention for his musical compositions especially for his works for children. He received his DMA from Yale University and is on the faculty at Columbia University and Teachers College. Eliot has performed at the Festival since 1994.
Susan Rotholz, flutist, winner of Young Concert Artists with Hexagon and as soloist with Concert Artists Guild is Principal Flute of the Greenwich Symphony Orchestra, The New York Pops, the New York Chamber Ensemble and member of the Orchestra of St. Luke’s. She is co-founder of the Sherman Chamber Ensemble, Rodeph Sholom and Cape May Music Festivals. She recorded the complete Bach Flute Sonatas and the Solo Partita with Kenneth Cooper and American Tapestry: Duos for Flute and Piano with Margaret Kampmeier, both on Bridge Records. The recordings are described as “eloquent and musically persuasive, and irresistible in both music and performance.” Susan is on the faculty at Vassar College, Columbia University and the Aaron Copland School of Music. She has performed at the Festival since 1991.
