Winter Lecture Series #2: What Do Bees Do in the Winter?
March 12 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

We can’t make spring come any faster, but we CAN provide some quality programming to hold you over until then! Join us in-person or by Zoom for a month of gardening-themed presentations that are sure to take the chill out of your week. Lectures will be held at the homestead each Wednesday in the month of March; we will serve tea and snacks at 3:30PM before the presentation at 4PM. The Zoom link for all four presentations can be found below.
Winter Lecture Series #2: What Do Bees Do in the Winter? w/ Bev Stevens
Bev Stevens and her husband, JJ, operate Old Glory Bees and Honey out of West Paris. The husband and wife team began their beekeeping adventure as a hobby, initiated from a recommendation to help cope with the effects of PTSD, anxiety, and stress.
We all know how hard bees work in the summer, but have you ever wondered about the winter? Join us for a discussion on how bees survive the cold Maine winter before becoming active again in the spring! Bees tell us the ultimate tale of nature’s resilience.
