Winter Lecture Series #2: Ecological Gardening w/ Jennifer Cappello-Ruggiero

We can’t make spring come any faster, but we CAN provide some quality programming to hold you over until then! Join us in-person or by Zoom for a month of horticultural and ecological presentations that are sure to take the chill out of your week. Ecological gardening is the practice of working with nature to create aesthetically pleasing, environmentally sustainable spaces that support biodiversity. In this lecture taught by Horticulture Professional Jennifer Cappello-Ruggiero,  learn how to start and maintain your own bio-diverse garden that is sure to impress both neighbors and fauna alike.

Jennifer serves as the University of Maine Cooperative Extension agent for York and Oxford County, where she oversees each county’s respective Master Gardener Volunteer Program. In addition to her role with Extension, she also teaches ecologically-minded garden courses through the New York Botanical Garden.
