Mushroom Log Workshop

Back by popular demand: McLaughlin Garden’s Mushroom Log Workshop! Join Horticulturist and fungi enthusiast, Corey Kotfila, and inoculate your very own edible mushroom logs. In this hands-on workshop, each participant will start and take home two red oak logs, which will produce delicious shiitake (Lentinula edodes) and chestnut (Pholiota adiposa) mushrooms in 6 months – 1 year.

Bring your own handheld drill and an 8.5mm or 11/32″ bit if you can, but we will provide drills for anyone who does not have one.

Each spot in the workshop is $35, and spaces are limited. Call us at (207) 743-8820 or email garden@mclaughlingarden.org to sign up.
