General Information

Registration for Groups: So we can better accomodate you and your group's needs, please call ahead to 207-743-8820.

Garden: May through October gate is open daily 8 am to 7 pm.

Historic House and Gift Shop: May through Labor Day 10am to 4pm

Directions – Approaching from the south: Take Route 26 north. Once you are in South Paris, remember that the McLaughlin Garden & Homestead is on the left just before the railroad tracks on Route 26.

Directions – Approaching from the north: Take Route 26 south toward Norway. McLaughlin Garden & Homestead is on the right just past the tracks.

Accessibility: Most main paths in the garden are accessible by wheelchair. Our restroom facilities are accessible and are located in the ell next to the café.

Parking:
Parking is available at the garden gate located on Western Avenue.
Handicap parking is available in the driveway of the main house.
Additional parking is available along the train tracks on Western Avenue and two blocks over at the County Courthouse on Western Avenue.

Garden Rules:
This is a densely planted garden, not a park. We ask you to keep your pets at home or in your car during cool weather. Please supervise small children. Plants are tender and many are hard to replace.
